Your 20 Hour SAFE Comprehensive training was designed to make you aware of the Federal regulations which regulate our industry and an overview of how mortgage origination works.
It was just the basics and nothing more. You're legally licensed or about to be, but your level of competency must to raised very quickly for you to survive against more experienced and knowledgeable loan originators. It all has to do with your industry knowledge and confidence.
This course is going to take you to your next level of competency.

Course Description:
Your first impression after reading the course title is probably,
" I already know all this stuff. How hard is it to fill in the blanks on a 1003?"
Well, it isn't so easy because there are many skills you must master prior to "Filling In The Blanks." This course will take some of your 20 Hour SAFE training and reinforce it with new skills that your first SAFE ACT training just didn't have time to cover. If it was covered, you didn't have the time to become proficient.
You will be proficient after completing this class.
Please view your course table of contents above and then you'll appreciate what skills you must master before you step in front of a potential borrower. You must know how to do the numbers and why you're doing them. Improper bundling of fees from your initial fees worksheet over to your Good Faith Estimate can be extremely costly. Any mistake in marking the wrong box , filling in the wrong date, or miscalculating any fees and or rates could force your Broker or Lender into funding a mortgage that loses money.
Or even worse, a loan that you didn't' close and someone else did!

understand all the required FHA documentation and loan approval guidelines, and feel completely comfortable in calculating

After completing this course you will have the competency to pre-qualify the veteran for eligibility, income, VA property issues, understanding all the required VA documentation, procedures, loan approval guidelines and counseling eligible VA borrowers of the rights and options afforded to them.

You need a clear understanding of what you are offering, and this class shows you how to lay out a plan of action. This class includes how to determine your "specialty," how to market to "For Sale by Owners," first time homebuyers, Realtors, and other sources of business. It also shows you how to prepare promotional materials and put together a marketing package.
